Why organic astaxanthin?
Organic Astaxanthin has the highest content of pure astaxanthin as well as other valuable carotenoids such as lutein, zeaxanthin and cantaxanthin.
How is astaxanthin from Dr. Heilbronner produced?
Our organic astaxanthin powder is obtained from the microalgae Haematococcus Pluvialis and pure spring water. These microalgae produce astaxanthin to protect their genetic material and organelles from UV light during periods of drought.
How is astaxanthin produced by Dr. Heilbronner?
The organic astaxanthin powder is produced purely from plants in Germany and is certified organic from controlled organic cultivation in accordance with EU guidelines. Dr. Heilbronner Organic Astaxanthin is produced under laboratory conditions in photobioreactors using spring water from our own deep wells. The CO2 extraction process of our astaxanthin ensures the high quality of the active ingredient.
Astaxanthin powder or capsules?
Taking astaxanthin in powder form has many advantages: especially if you have problems or difficulties taking capsules, we recommend astaxanthin in powder form. Astaxanthin powder is easy to mix into various dishes, such as protein shakes, smoothies, breakfast cereals, yoghurt and bowls. The powder is also around 70% cheaper than the capsules.
The advantage of astaxanthin capsules is the fixed dosage. The capsules are also recommended for taking on the go, as the storage of the powder (cool, sealed packaging) can usually be a problem.
Astaxanthin side effects
Of all the studies on astaxanthin, there are no known side effects of consumption in food supplements.
How should astaxanthin powder be taken?
Dosage: one level measuring spoon daily (equivalent to 5mg astaxanthin); package contents are sufficient for 200 daily rations.
If you decide to take astaxanthin as a loose powder, you should know that you should mix it with a little oil to get the best effect.
What is the best way to store astaxanthin powder?
It is best to store in a cool place. Close the packaging airtight immediately after use, i.e. it is then ideally protected from oxidation.
